Abe here, Orlando being "here" as of now. Went to school in Gainesville...Go Gators!...moved back here, trying to get back into grad school. I've had my G-17 for about 4 years but just got on this board. Yeah, I'm a slacker.

I've lived in Ft. Walton almost 50 years and the hog hunting can be interesting. I will have to direct you to Jackson Guard in Niceville for the most up to date hunting information on Eglin AFB property and the Florida Wildlife commission on info hunting on state management areas.

I've got a G19 and a Kimber CDPII, along with a bunch of assorted long guns. I haven't found a place to shoot just yet, but I haven't looked very seriously. Any suggestions?

Ed here. Lived in Florida most of my life, except for tours of duty overseas. I've been posted to another third world country for many years now -- Miami. I attended FSU a long time ago. I got to fire a Glock pretty early on in the manufacturing history of this gun, which probably makes me one of the first people to fire a Glock. When I was stationed in Peru (1985) I met a PeruvianA military attache who had brought back one of the early Glock models from his diplomatic tour of duty in Austria. He let me fire it at the range. What a rare feeling for a dyed in the wool 1911 guy, which I then was, to fire a "plastic" gun (or is it ceramic, as Bruce would say) for the first time!

Hi, my name is John and I've been in FL since 1988 and feel like a native. I love Glocks, Black Rifles, and pretty much anything that goes bang!!! I'm a disabled USAF vet and work in the medical field. Havent been at Glocktalk in a long time but glad to be back. I dont have a Florida GLockers number but would like to have one and I usually shoot at Shoot Staight in Apopka FL.
