Dell Printer Cartridges

I bought a new Dell PC earlier this year along with a Dell printer-fax-copier. Buying cartridges from Dell is really expensive. The printer looks very much like a Lexmark machine to me. Anyone know how to cross reference the cartridges so I could just buy Lexmark cartridges instead of buying from Dell? Naturally Dell won't help with this answer. Any help would be much appreciated.

They have slightly different keying so they aren't compatible even though the Dells are OEMed by Lexmark. You can buy ink refill kits for the "same" lexmark and use them on your dell.

I put a Lexmark in my Dell 920 and it works fine.

Which model lex cart did you use? I tried the using the one which most closely looked like my dell, and it didn't fit :(

308 I used the 16 black. I think it's 26 for color, slips my mine right now.
