when I open a new window from a link

It comes up minimized. I know it doesn't take much, but how do I get it to quit doing this and open the new window maximized or even midsized? I am running IE 6 on a Win 98 computer. Thanks in advance for the help.

Window size can be reset by some websites, I guess by Javascript.

Just launch IE, right click on the button in the taskbar and make sure "Restore" is grayed-out. If it's not, select it. This should restore it to the default window size (mid-sized, in your case). Then, just click and drag the four corners to whatever size you want to be the default.

After doing this, subsequent "Open in a new window" selections should open to that size. There may be an easier way to do this, but this has worked for me. It also may be re-set again if you go back to the offending site.

Thanks!

Thanks Joey, don't know why I didn't think of that, but it worked.

Have a good day.
