Has anyone thought about having or actually had their guns insured? Is such a thing possible?
A few weeks ago, a fire razed the top floor of my father's apartment unit in Quezon City, which is separated from my unit by just a firewall. The only things my dad was able to recover from the third floor were the stuff inside his safe. Fortunately, the firewall held, nobody was hurt, the firefighters responded quickly, and the fire did not spread to my unit. Since I was 180 kilometers away (I live in the province now) when this happened, there isn't much I could've done in any case. The incident made me think however of how easily lost material possessions are. In the case of guns however, the loss can sometimes be painful on the pocket, particularly since each gun costs enough to feed a small family for several weeks. I knew I should've just left my blasters with ppts799 for safe-keeping
So how's about it. Any thoughts on comprehensive firearm insurance?
