Anyone running XS 24/7 Big Dot Tritium sights on their Kahr?
Just picked up a brand new Kahr P380 to give me a smaller carry option to my K9. I have Trijicon 3 dot night sights on my K9, and the wife also has them on her PM9. My questions is, is anyone running XS 24/7 Big Dots on their Kahr's?....and if so, how do you like them, and how accurate are you with them for self defense purposes? Thinking seriously of adding a set of these to the new P380, as it seems like they would be excellent for quick acquisition on targets out to 7-10 yards.
Any info is greatly appreciated!

Big dot sights
I have them on a PM9. I really do not care for them for the range. At 7 yards I can maintain a 6 inch pattern, and with the factory sights it was a 3 inch pattern. Probably in a fight they would be much better than the factory sights. I understand these are not range sights, but it is still annoying to me not to be able to do better. I should lay off of the coffee.

I have XS BD's on my PM9. Had 'em on a G39 too. Love them, and don't see any reason not to use them on a P380. May add a set to the new P380 I bought a couple weeks ago.

I have ran them for years and they work great.

Officer's Match & Backdraft.......
Did you guys have any issues with the front site on the BD X/S sights hanging up when you draw from a holster?....I doubt there are, but I thought I would just ask.
What size groupings are you able to obtain with these sights on your Kahr's?.... I've never shot with this set up before, so I have no idea what to expect.
Thank you guys for the responses!

No holster issues on my Glock, and I'm still shopping holsters for my Kahr. It is so rounded (the front sight) that I doubt you'll see any problems.
As for groupings, no issues for the purpose of the weapon. In both app's I was using them for subcompact ccw/bug purposes, so other than play, even 15 yards is stretching the envelope. I did blow my son's (and his buddies') mind when during a plinking session with a 22lr (one of those newer "tactical" looking rifles, looked like an HK) I drew my G39 and toppled a popcan at 35 yards on the first shot. Calmly reholstered the Glock as if it were routine (while thinking holycrapwattaluckyshot).

No holster problems with them as far as groups. To be honest group size doesn't matter much to me any longer. But I use a 6" paper plate as my target out to 15 yards and it isn't a problem. Best advice is practice will be best way to get use to the sights. Don't expect to do one hole groups or less than 2" the purpose it to get on target fast and stay center mass. Also I found since becoming in need of reading glasses the XS sights work the best for aging eyes. Hope that answers your questions

I'll second this, although I keep denying the need for reading glasses to Mrs. OM.

Yeah, I'm at that age where standard sights aren't working too well for me anymore. Put a Big Dot on my spare G19, more as a tryout than anything else. It's definitely not for bullseye shooting out to 25 yards or anything like that, but for HD/SD use, they work OK.
At some point I'm going have to make the decision which guns will get the Big Dots. Probably the 2 G19s and the G26, not the K9.

Defensive Sights- XSSights
Howdy:
Have XS Sights (Big Dot) installed on my Kahr PM 9 nearly a year and a half ago. Wonder how I got along without them and while practicing at Evans Shooting Range in Orange, CA (SoCa), there are more XS Sights adorning firearms because of my XS SIGHTS. In fact, several weeks ago, a San Bernardino Deputy changed out his Glock sights (duty/bu) for XS Sights.
I also own a P380 and was just about to have XS Sights (STD up front) installed but after 23,000 PM 9 rounds, the trigger bar fractured thus waiting for its return prior to having XS Sights installed on my P380. In a heart beat, these sights have improved my defensive practice scores since doing away the typical 2 dot rear/dot up front target sights.
Watch XS Sight vids-very informative illustrating sights are accurate too!

I'm probably confused (just ask my wife) but is just the front sight illuminated?
It looks like the back sight vertical stroke is just paint. If so, standard three dot sights might be in the future for one of my PM40s.

Kyglock22, both front and rear sights have the tritium vials. Check them in a dark room.

The XS BD sights for the P380 have a tritium dot in front and a painted stripe on the rear.
The XS BD sights for the other Kahrs have a tritium dot in front and a tritium stripe on the rear.

I have the big dots on my P380, regular trijicons on my PM9 and P45.
Yes, the groups are smaller on the traditional sighted guns, but I bought the P380 for up close, in your face action, and out to my practice distance of 25 feet I can keep them all in a softball size group which will do nicely if I ever have to use it for its intended purpose.

Didn't know that. Any pics of the other Kahrs?
