wireless network

Could someone please tell me exactly what I need in these two cases.

1. In my office at work we have 2 pc's that I believe are networked together. Even though I can't see the other pc's info. We share a DSL connection and a printer. I want to be able to access email with my pda (tungsten C with wi-fi). What exactly do I need?

2. In my home I have 2 pc's no network. Only 1 pc has internet access. I would like to provide a wireless network for my 2 pc's and my pda also. What would I need here.

You would want a wireless access point for the office. At home you would want a wireless broadband router. The router would hook up directly to the cable/dsl modem and then the pc's behind that.

The access point would go into a port like a pc would into the switch or router that is connecting all the devices. In either case be sure to change the default password on the device and to set it to use WEP encryption so not just anyone can connect and access your network.

Dlink makes some good products.

and an access point: http://dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=326
