All purpose fishing boat--suggestions.

I have been thinking about an all purpose(almost)fishing boat.I would want something about 17-20 ft long.I would need a boat that i could fish lakes, rivers, and coastal waterways/light bay.Looking at the different types of boats it seems like a center console, maybe carolina skiff or something like it would be a good choice. Please discuss. Thanks for any info in advance!!
