Recommend a Inexpensive but good........
Hollow or semi hollow body electric guitar. And amp to go with it. Will be for @ home use only.

I am partial to Gretch guitars, and the Peavey Classic 30 and Classic 50 amps cannot be beat for the price.

I've been out of guitars for quite a while, do those Peavey Classic amps still come with 4-10" speakers? Oooohhhhh.....

The Classic 50 can still be had in a 212 or 410 configuration, I believe

I have a '69 reissue thinline Telecaster that goes around $500 if find a good sale.Great guitar,well made,awesome sounding.

Ibanez there guitar are cheap and they sound
really good!.
For the amp you don't need more then 25w for
just jamming at home. Crate makes good cheap
amps for a little more you can get a really good
marshell amp.

Got mine for around 500, love it.
Mine looks like the one on the left.
I would also agree on the Peavy Classic 30.
