Icon of Public Safety Diving Passes
I received this from the president of the International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists this morning. I knew Bob personally and I can't begin to tell you what a loss this is to our community.
It is with a heavy heart that I pass along the following e-mail I
received this morning.
"Bob Teather passed away at 06:30 AM (EST) today. There will be no
service as he did not want to burden his friends with travel. His
wife Susan will still be using his e-mail address if you want to
send her a note."
Bob Teather was a founding member of the International Association
of Dive Rescue Specialists and a lifetime member. Bob was the author
of the "Encyclopedia of Underwater Investigation" and spoke on this
subject at many IADRS Conferences. He was a generous person who
shared his knowledge by contributing articles to the IADRS
newsletter and by lecturing "on the road" as a corporate trainer for
Dive Rescue International. Most importantly, Bob Teather was a
friend and many will miss him.
As you read this e-mail, please give a moment of reflection to our
Canadian friend whom many refer to as THE AMBASADOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY
DIVING, Bob Teather.
