Man, that is such sad news.
I always got such a kick out of his posts, even when he would only post "Woof, Woof"

So Sad. Rest In Peace Woof...........
There are posters here who I always read, some I never read, Woof's I always read twice.
Woof came through California earlier this year. I was dissapointed that we didnt have a chance to meet in person; even more sad now that we couldent meet.

Woof really was man's and dog's best friend.
So long!
;1
Reminds me of one of my favorite episodes of Twilight Zone, "The Hunt"
Here is a quote from the episode:
Gatekeeper: "You see, Mr. Simpson, a man...well, he'll walk right into Hell with both eyes open. But even the Devil can't fool a dog!"
You'll be missed Woof.

I bet Ed and Woof are up there handing out Milkbones by the gross!
I remember many a thread here that turned into a flame war and Woof would show up in the middle of it and give us a "Woof-Woof" and turn the whole thread around. I'd begin laughing and wouldn't have to close the thread.
When I think of Woof I think of the old saying:
"A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song."
That was Woof/Ed!
I remember a thread here just last month about "Which members of Glocktalk would you like to meet?" Woof had my name on his list. I was honored by that and it would of been my honor to meet him and give him a big hug.
May the road always rise up to meet you my gentle friend...

Oh man, it seemed much too long ago that he posted that he was doing better.
I have never talked with him personally, but when I saw his posts (One or two of them every once and a while) I always smiled and though "I'm glad he's doing better"
This is shocking.
Rest in peace.

We are diminished by his passing.
So long, Woof.

Out of respect and memory of WOOF I am changing my avatar for a brief period of morning.
I think it would be fitting if everyone else would do the same.

I never had the opportunity to get to know Ed.
I do know that anyone that belongs to an extended family like that of Glock Talk has a special place in our minds.
My prayers to his family, and for those that knew him.

I have to admit I never read any of Woof's posts, but seeing how much he was loved by you all I have been brought to tears.
Woof, RIP. Give my love to my dog, Cassidy.

So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He has always been a class act here on GT. I'm certain that he was a genuinely kind man in person, although I never had the pleasure to meet him in person. I could just tell. He's the kind of person I aspire to be like.
He will be missed. Our prayers to his wife, family and friends. Godspeed my friend.

Sad news indeed.
I always enjoyed reading his insight and loved his sense of humor. A big loss for GT, to be sure.
Sincere condolences to his wife, extended family, and co-workers.

My heart sank upon reading the news and I'll admit my eyes started to water. I always got a kick out of his posts, always funny and never mean spirited. A cornerstone of GT and a just a good guy.
Godspeed Woof, and my prayers to your family. ;1
Still in shock,
Glen

Woof, may he rest in peace. I didn't know him well, but what I knew of him always caused me to respect him and admire his character. I didn't know him well, but I know I will miss him.
