Real Self Defense Stories/Articles from TSRA
Here is a frequently updated list of articles of gun-owners using their firearms in self-defense. It's from the Texas State Rifle Association's website but it has articles from all over the country and even some from overseas. Would make a good bookmark for anyone wanting to stay on top of these issues, especially since you don't see these stories covered often by Big Media. I apologize if it's been posted before or is common knowledge.
Check it out, very good stuff:

Good link.
I would also like to see reports of crimes thwarted buy armed citizens without actual shootings. I know many of those would not be reported to authorities, but a percentage would, and I bet that percentage alone is as great as the ones where someone was shot. I guess that's not "news" though.

Thanks for the post. This is just what I had been looking for. I had actually posted a query for just this sort of information in general non-glocking but to no avail. Glad I kept searching.

Thanks for the great link
Amazing how little known these incidents are even to those who are local to the areas in which they happen..

The link provided in the first post is no longer since TSRA has redone (or more correctly, is redoing) their web site. However, two other links I've run across that provide similar information are:
NRA-ILA Armed Citizen - http://www.nra-ila.org/ArmedCitizen/Default.aspx
Civilian Gun Self-Defense Blog - http://www.claytoncramer.com/gundefe...g/blogger.html

As long as this is stickied...
why not compile links to those posted right here in GT? This forum is often a source for a visiting surfer.

"https://www.tsra.com/selfdfns.htm" must have been taken down since or overloaded since it "404 Not Found" error at 538 pm MST. Or I could be doing something wrong...
