One Hot Guitar Lick

Pennsylvania Man Burns Legs While "Torching" His Guitar

GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) -- It may have looked cool when Jimi Hendrix did it on stage at the Monterey Pop Festival, but things worked out badly for a Greensburg man who set his guitar on fire in his apartment.

David Kemerer, 43, was treated for burns to his lower legs after telling police he was ``torching'' his guitar on Wednesday.

The fire also ignited debris littering the floor of Kemerer's apartment, but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread, police said.

Officials at Westmoreland Regional Hospital wouldn't release Kemerer's condition, citing federal privacy laws.

That just goes to prove, never catch your instrument on fire!

Yep, no matter what, people will always be stupid, and their stupidity will always result in them getting hurt.

No one ever called Fire or EMS for doing something smart.
