Tonight we picked up a job, a man was complaining of severe chest pains, numbness in his left arm, and said that he has had a heart attack before. We call for a bus, and wait. And wait. Finally a patrol car pulls up because we pput it back over the air. The dispatcher sent to bus to the wrong address! We help him into the car, and the go lights and siren.
After they left the bus and a Fire truck pull up. Telling us the were looking for us 10 blocks away it wasn't their fault, central has her head up her butt again.
All in all, it took about a half an hour to get him rolling to the ER.

Don't feel special...we have the same problem with dispatch here in WY. Pisses ya off when they send you to 2 wrong addresses in a row, or pop the wrong stations for calls, seems to be a never ending problem.

That guy looked like he was about to die, luckily a patrol car came because they heard us repeat the address to central about 4 times

In Pittsburg, the paddy wagons carry soft strechers to load and go victims. Easier for them to make the run than for the bus.

Luckily I've never come across this problem yet. The Pd's, the EMS depts, the fire depts, and county dispatch all work together pretty well.
