Walther PPS .40 - Range report!

This is my second time out with my new-to-me PPS .40. Bought it used off a co-worker at the great price of $350 - which included a crossbreed holster. At first I thought - oh boy - am gonna like this? But, this pistol just keeps growing on me.
Put 100 rounds through it today consisting of
HPR - 180g - TMJ &
PMC Bronze - 165g - FMJ

Here are my first 7 shots at about 12 yards:

Walther Forum

One under my pinkie but the other six grouped nice. This thing is just soo surprisingly accurate! I was hitting bowling pins and soda cans at 15-20 yards with ease. I did have two failures to feed with the HPR... both on the last round in the magazine. The PMC was 100%. The last time out, the PMC was (again) flawless and I had one failure to feed with a box of S&B - 180gr - FMJ. So I don't know if its a 180 grain thing or maybe this is just going to be a finicky eater?? If I can find a good JHP round that is 100%, I won't worry to much about it!
I want to get a few more of the six round mags - I prefer them! Here is a last pic of my second mag-full :

I had one in 40S&W, kicked like a Mule. Sold it for $500 and now looking for a PPS 9mm.

Doesn't bother me...but I shoot a lot of 357sig so I am used to some snappy recoil!

Great pick up, especially at that price.
Nice shooting.

Been meaning to throw in an update for a while. I ran one box thru it over the summer - Hunting Shack Munitions - 180g - RNFP and they all ran great - no failures!
Then about three weeks ago, I had it out again for a little exercise:

Walther Forum

I ran a box of PMC Bronze - 165g- FMJ thru it... once again with no issues. I have put 150 rounds of the PMC thru at 100%.
Then I ran a box (20 rnds) of Crooked Creek Arms - 165g - FMJ. I had one failure to feed with it. Crooked Creek is a local manufacturer here -what some may call a "boutique" ammo maker.
Totals for the pistol thus far: 320 rounds with 4 malfunctions...all failures to feed. Not worried about that at all. I am still breaking it in and finding out what she likes to run!

Weird. I feel mine shoots soft for the size and load.

And I'm the one that doesn't like my G27
