I may need one of those. Some of my servers keyboards are sitting under shelves you cannot see around/under enough that it would be interesting to see how much I actually do glance at it.

I use ergonomic keyboards, i find the standard keyboards like that one too cramped and uncomfortable to use. I would be useless with any standard config / size keyboard.

I don't think I would have a problem using it, but I'm with USCG.. I hate keyboards like that. I love ergonomic keyboards. Unfortunately, I'm on a laptop most of the time and don't use a normal keyboard.

There was a post on /. about 3 weeks ago covering it. I touch type about 85-90 words a minute so it does not matter to me if they keys are marked or not. I just hate the way that the \ is never the same between keyboards. Some below <enter> some above.

I ususually use remapkey.exe in the windows resource kit anyway to move some things around.

That is hardcore. I might have to get one just so I can see the reaction on my freinds faces. They already give my crap because my hardware is bleeding edge, I'm always tweaking or tinkering with something and my case is never on but I use the cheapest keyboards and mice I can find. I think the one I'm using right now cost me about $5.00 at Big Lots. When they get too grungy or I spill coffee on them, it's great to just toss them and plug in a new one.

That would be cool, at least for the novelty factor. I could use it, but I would have trouble with some things, like the number pad (havnt gotten that down yet), and inst, home, pg up... etc. I can type with out looking though.

Many years ago, I played a prank on this older gal, where I popped several keys out of her VT keyboard and plugged them in randomly. To my shock and dismay, she came back to her desk and started back to her data entry without missing a beat. She did not even notice.

And simply spray your old keyboard with it if this concept appeals to you?

Then again, people who could buy a Timex sometimes spring for a Rolex. To each their own.

BTW, I do not touch type but I can indeed hit 60 wpm with no errors on most days. I COULD use one of these 'blank' keyboards, but I think I will be OK without one.

If I see one in use, though, don't be surprised if its PC is set to use a DVORAK keyboard when I leave! ;b ;f ;a ;f ;b

Same thing here. Why the fark would I spend 75+ on a keyboard when I can take one from the pile and strip all the letters off with a dremel.
