The Destroyer

Anybody read The Destroyer books, by Warren Murphy, Richard Sapir? I remember when I was a kid, my dad had shelves of them. He probably still does, but I haven't been home in a few years. I'm getting to that point in my life that I want to more understand what is going though his head (since I don't see him, and only talk to him on the phone maybe once a month).

I understand the concept (I saw the movie), but wondered if anybody here read them. I'm going to check a few used book stored tomorrow and see if I can't track a few down.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

This is the law:
There is no possible victory in defense,
The sword is more important than the shield,
And skill is more important than either,
The final weapon is the brain.
All else is supplemental.

I have read some of them. The not-so-subtle political sattire is funny.
