knife laws

Anyone know what our laws have to say about carrying a knife? Does the 4" blade length apply as the maximum length? Apart from the fact that the cops here will harass you regardless, it would be nice to have some legal mumbo-jumbo to back you up. I last heard that the anti-knife law was made during martial law, and some ammendments were later made. Any ideas on this?

This thread on Knives and Batons in the Phils has the information you seek.

Which reminds me, attyjpl still owes us that Supreme Court decision on the blade length issue.

as far as i know. . .

if you use it for your job for example, like myself i am taking culinary arts, i may carry even a cleaver.

for pocket knives i think it is 3". but i could be mistaken.

basta hindi ka mukhang hoodlum, ayos na yun. ;-P

balisongs for some reason are illegal to carry, dunno why.
