This Sunday marks the 4th anniversery of the World Trade Centers tragedy. Is your dept doing anything to remember the Firefighters that lost their lives that day?
Since this is the first time since the tragedy that it has fallen on a Sunday, our Fire Dept. Chaplain is organizing a memorial service to honor the brave lives that were lost that day during his regular sunday service at his church, then the church members are providing a luncheon for all the area firefighters.
I believe that the events of that fateful day and the sacrifice that those firefighters made that day should be remembered by us all.

Our department observes 3 minutes and 43 seconds of silence every 9/11 ay 0800 and does a "final call" tone out of all stations at the end.
