I have done one for STI about the 1911 design. I had a period last year when I was leaving to the 1911 camp but the dark side pulled me back. The link to the 1911 version is on the site.

Very nice! I'm suprised at how well it scales also - viewing just the swf at 1280x1024 looks amazing. I see you have embedded the movie very well on the page - have you also encrypted it so someone else doesn't steal it?
|
Yep, it's all vector graphics so you can make it as big as you like. Thats also the reason why the filesize is only 100 kb.

Any chance we can get a glock screensaver like the one made for your STI animation?

In time yes. I will first have to get rid of all the minor bugs on the current animation though, so don't hold your breath.

I would pay to get a screen saver of that. You should get it up on this site and charge a small amount for it.

Juho- I saw the STI animation a while ago, and was impressed. You're just incredibly good! In addition- and I'm sure it was part of your intention- I learned more about the functioning of my Glock.

Thanks to all for your nice comments! Both of the 1911 and the Glock project began from my personal desire to learn and really understand how the weapon works.
Im' not too dissappointed that Glock wasn't interested, it's their right to pass on the animation and it's not up to me to question their marketing decisions. AND I didn't do for the money anyway.

Really cool! When you get it finished, are you going to sell the animation? For a nominal price I bet a lot of people would buy it, including me.
