I love that! My girls started at age 6. My eldest one qualified expert handgun in the Navy last year. She was the only female to do so and only one of three ladies that even tried. It's an option there. Both girls have shot all my weapons and are proficient in every one. Both have CCW's. Don't screw with my daughters.

Hate to butt in but I noticed this topic while scanning the forum.

A good place to teach daughters to shoot is at project appleseed. Not only do they learn great rifle marksmanship skills but they learn to shoot safely and they learn the genisis of marksmanship heritage in America. I took my daughter 3 years ago and she still talks about it. She came away competent in her marksmanship, confident in her rifle handling skills and safe. It is also a great family activity.
