jeep tranny just quite

On my way to work this am my 94 wrangler stopped moving. The engine (4 cyl) was running fine but it will not go into any gear (2 or 4 wheel drive). It was just as if I shiftedf into N and rev'ed the engine.

I checked the fluid level (auto trans) no metal flakes nor does it look "burnt". It is at the proper level.

Any ideas on what could be wrong? Possibly a vacume line or linkage problem? I'm trying to not have to go to a tranny shop if I can avoid it.

Assuming you have tried low and high on the t-case....It sounds like I would start with linkage. Get a buddy to help and put it on 4 jack stands. And be careful!!
