Wow, egg nog... I remember from years back putting white rum in egg nog with a cinnomon (sp?) stick. Drank it warm...
There's a new drink out there now that is similar. It's called a Carrot Cake. IIRC it's Baileys, Hot Damn and Capt'n Morgans Spiced Rum.... It's always been served to me chilled but it's so close to the egg nog drink that I think it could be served warm...
Beware, it's like Candy...

Try Baileys Irish Cream in hot chocolate, and/or coffee. Also try Pepperment Schnopps (sp) in hot chocolate if you like the choc/peppermint flavor combo. I use Brendans Irish cream, it's about 1/2 the price of Baileys.
Use your favorite rum in the egg nog.

In addition to Bailey's and Creme de Menthe, I find Kahlua or Tia Maria isquite nice in cocoa or any type of coffee.
Largely unrelated, but speaking of Kahlua drinks- in the summer time I like White Russians a lot. A LOT. When I've had my cup of coffee in the morning, I use the left over coffee in the pot to fill an icecube tray and make coffee ice cubes to use in White Russians. Mmmmm...nice! And they don't water the drink as the ice melts!

I actually was going to buy some baileys last night at the liquor store. My gf bought a huge bottle of Tequilla, I walked out empty handed. The Tequilla was 8.99 for what looked like a liter. The baileys was $14.99 for what looked like a large juice glass.
Why the huge price difference? Cream is cheaper than alcohol...no?
Thanks

Brandy or rum is good in Eggnog.
Any of the choclate or coffee flavored liquors will be good in hot chocolate. Other good liquor flavores to go with hot chocolate include Mint, Orange, Bananna, Raspberry and Vanilla.

Was it Ole brand tequia? Or in a plastic bottle of any sort?
All those nightmare stories people have about the horridness of tequila- they're stories about cheap tequila. Tequila can be good- damn good! But you get what you pay for. About the cheapest I'd go is Tradicional, which here in PA runs about $23 for a 750 ml. My favorite would be Gran Centariano, but it'll run you around $46 0r $47.

It depends on how you make the alcohol, but you're comparing apples and oranges. A bottle of good bourbon costs way more than a case of cheap beer, cuz they're different products.
But do some taste testing of different tequilas and figure out why one bottle is pricey and one is cheap, and man oh man do you have a fun night ahead of you!

Peppermint or Cinnamon Schnapps is great in Hot Chocolate!
If you are looking for hot drinks for cooler temps, try making hot buttered rum... YUM!

If I remember right, you get in trouble when you start spooning the cocoa powder directly into the mug of schnapps! ;f
