Very nice '05! The wheels look like they don't fit quite like the stockers, which since the backspacing is different between SN95+ and S197, they probably don't, but they do look damn good. Paul Svinicki went 12.9 in a stock GT with full exhaust, shifter, sticky tires and some weight reduction, so you oughta be well on your way with gears, CAI, and the mandatory reflash/tune.

They have the correct backspacing for the 05, but they are 18 inch 275/45's all the way around, and the rear is lowered 3/4's of an inch (Rousch Racing rear springs). That's why it looks different from the stock 17 inch 235/55's. The car handles SO much better now, and looks a ton better to!

Looks good!
The wheels just look a little smaller because it's a big car.
Nice job!

Those are 18's? Man, the new body style just loves huge wheels. I see 19's and 20's all the time, and actually like them.

I love the '05 Mustangs. Looks like they took one part '65, one part '67 and one part '70,put 'em all in a bag, shook it up and out popped the best looking Mustang in decades.
So,STANMAN, does she run as good as she looks?

That's one of the things the manufactures lack on is putting enough rubber down.

Don't worry 45, the power mods will come in the spring. Shooting for 400 RWHP naturally aspirated. Should be able to get close with a cam, heads, CAI and a good tune. I hear 380HP is the average with those mods, so I may need an aluminum driveshaft to get to 400.
And my car looks ricey?? Is there neon on it anywhere? Is there a picnic table size wing on it? Do the ground effects match the rest of the car? Does it have an annoying 6" fart can muffler on it? Is there any stickers on it (because every ricer knows every sticker adds 5HP)? I just don't see anything on my car that says "ricer". As far as the 1/4 window louver, check out the late 60's Machs, they all have them, are they "ricer wannabe's" to?
And Ford did a great job with the Mustang, if you want to see something that got murdered in the remake, take a stroll to your nearest Dodge dealer and look at the Charger. Although I have to give Mopar props, as the new Challenger spy pics are out, and it looks REALLY nice. When they come out, I will need an extra spot in my garage, and the Mustang is gonna be jelous!

I don't envy you keeping those wheels clean, though ;a

Haven't made it out the last couple of years. I heard the vendor midway was crap this year (that a lot of people just brought displays and not stuff to sell).
Last time I went was in 2003, my Mark VIII took 1st in class (and I just put it in the show for the good parking ).

'05 was my first, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was mostly just displays. And only the Falken booth had a boothbabe, which was disappointing from looking at WFC7's pics.

I hate the color, but other than that it looks great. With about 400 hp it will go great too. Very nice project.
