Something changed on my Laptop display??

On some web sites the picture has gotten, for lack of a better word, "bigger." On GT the bottom of everyones Sig is cut off and the writing is very large. It never used to be like this, but last week it just started doing it.
I have a Compaq Presario R3000 with a 17" wide screen monitor. Anyone know what the deal is and how I can make go back the way it was.
