Personally, I wouldn't pay a nickle for it. Compaq, ewwww...
The basic box is prolly about $500 to $550 or so.
If the battery really is still good, that can add $50-$60 to the baseline, and depending on the version of Office, another $100-$200, depending on it's value to the buyer.
The screen resolution can make another $50 or so of variation: that model can have 3 different pixel counts.
It's got an open memory slot, that Compaq says is standard, though they of course recommend Compaq branded RAM. Buyer should plan on filling that slot as soon as possible, as XP will kick 256MB right into the mud. Then XP will do a little dance on it's head. 256 more at a minimum.
Do note that Dell and Gateway and I'm sure others have new (though lesser) laptops in this price range.
10mm... all the power you love from the 20mm, with half the recoil.
You can't reason someone out of something
that they didn't reason themselves into.
