I'm back

After a 3-week vacation, I'm back in the bay area.

First off, thank you to Alexii and darwin25 for everything and to all who posted welcome messages...yung gift ko for the Phil-based BOGs, iniwan ko na lang sa office ng sister ko. It can be picked up anytime. Alexii or darwin25? By the way, thanks also for the referrals on the kamagong grips. Rona is such a wonderful lady but I have to go back twice. picked up 5 grips the first day and another 6 the next day.

Calling vega, mang danny, stglock. Pls PM me your mailing addresses, I got your kamagong grips. And also a box of Tabacalera for vega.

I will post all these stuff next time. Oh yes, I spent the whole afternoon at Mang Tony's shop: 3 holsters, 2 belts & 2 mag pouches. He (rather father and son) made them while we were talking stories. The whole family was there. Anthony Jr, his young wife and kids, and of course Mrs Tony Giron. We had a good time and all i can say is: they are one big happy family. Tulong tulong sila sa paggawa ng order ko. I did not even noticed the rather small space of the shop. Napakagiliw si Mrs Giron. And yes, nagpabili ako ng spaghetti and other meryenda. Kumusta ka raw Vega, sabi ni Mang Tony. Tinatanong kung makapal pa rin and eye glasses mo or kung pumayat ka na raw. Hindi ko sinabing hindi pa tayo nagkikita. And my BIG thanks for the referrals. He is really one good craftsman. Parang ang daling gawin yung leather goods niya. Pati siya, sarap din kakuwentuhan. Pakitaan kami ng license and gun permits. Overall, he is one good gentleman. Binigay pa complete home address.

Babalik uli ako sa March or April! I'll make sure puro RnR sa susunod.

Sayang hindi ka umabot sa Christmas get together. Maybe next time you get a chance to meet most of the BOGs.

Todo shopping ka pala ng grips and holsters, can you post some pics of the items?

Holy Cow! Shopping galore yan, ah!;f

Nice grips! I hope Rona gave you a substantial discount for all those. Too bad you didn't make it to the Christmas get-together as batangueno said. Next time, make sure pure R&R na lang para marami-rami ka ma-meet.

Merry Christmas, Vic!

I bet it's hard to draw with that holster. Leather is covering part of the lower trigger.

Nice pics though!

marami pa kuwento but will save for next time. but heres one: I was stopped by the custom for a thorough inspection; they open my luggages and check every single one of 'em. My lucky day! I have to explain why I have couple of grips and holsters. Oh man, what a hassle, I thought they'll bring me to the interrogation room. Eh may dala pa akong arnis na mukhang kamagong din. I just told the young lady (pretty at that, if i may add) its a gift to friends. A few questions and she managed to maintain a poker face throughout my ordeal. good thing she does not know what are those grips for, I have to explain its a special wood grips for a 1911. I have a feeling she had no idea whats a 1911; shes packing a glock. But she is a pro and she even helped me repacked/refold my clothes. Whew...buti na lang mabait siya.

I will mail those stuff this weekend. May address na sa akin si mang danny. Vega, pls send me your mailing details. I will PM you guys my mailing address and the cost in peso.

calling stglock, give me a buzz my friend. busy ba tayo sa sun micro?

If I were in her shoes I would have sent you packing back to the Philippines ASAP.

So that you could buy more 1911 kamagong grips to bring back to the US. ;f

You would then be doing a lot of 1911 owners there a big favor.
