Blown out USB ports

Anyone ever blow out their USB ports?

And

Is it unusual to blow these out?

Went to print---nope...

Checked to see if I could upload digital pics from camera---nope...

One port is dedicated to the printer the other is for the camera, and 2 IPODs...

DD~

I had a computer a number of years back that had USB ports very sensitive to static discharge. The computer would reboot every time I plugged a USB device in and forgot to ground myself first. Quite annoying actually. My USB ports never stopped working but I did get around the problem by purchasing a USB hub.

i've had a motherboard with a bad USB port before - not sure if it's common.
