I see many email address's that have a dot (.) in their email address,for example glock.talk@fff

What does the dot do,make hacking,etc tougher???

doesn't do anything except make it easier to read. Most often done to seperate a first name from a last name.

example:

tess.smith@glocktalk

is easier to read than

tesssmith@glocktalk

Yes, that is an extreme example and I don't meet many people named Tess, but you get the idea. ;a

The dot you sometimes see before the @ in an email address is a secret code that is used by people that are members of a secret society. If you print it out and blow it up about 20 times , you'll see that the dot isn't really a dot but three small sixes.
