I don't wash my bikes. Check fluids, clean and lube chain, check and inflate tires, put in gas and go.

There's a BMW T-shirt that says something to the effect that "after polishing your bike, you can start on my silverwares";f

It takes me about a 1/2 hour to wash/wax, clean/lube the chain and make the Duc look good.

I do this once a month, and if you keep the bike clean it's easier to clean because you don't have to wash/clean off all the built-up crud. I'm used to Harleys, so keeping the bike clean is second nature to me.

I don't go crazy on the cleaning, just get the majority of the dirt off. Since I do the chain every 200-300 miles I find it easy to do the bike at the same time. I do my chain weekly.

I've only owned my KZ 550 since September, but since I don't ride in rain or wet conditions, it doesn't get that dirty. I did enough spit polising in the Army, however I do like a shiny bike, but some dirt isn't gonna matter unless it gets on my work clothes.

I have my kids clean my XR650 for me...they tell me it needs cleaning about once a month. I am nice and get the cleaning stuff out for them I just cannot figure out why it should be bathed when I am just going to get it all dirty again!

I've washed my Majesty once since I got it in September, although I did sort of give it a wipe and a promise once at church when the hose was out. I rode it down a gravel/dirt road the other day touring a Civil War battlefield, so I need to wash it again, but it's too cold and I'm too lazy.

I live on a gravel road so my bikes are always dirty. I wash my Triumph Daytona at the end of the year, unless it gets real dirty. My H-D Low Rider I wash about once a month, so I don't have to spend as much time polishing chrome. I might have to sell it just so I don't have to clean the chrome.

My bikes, cars, house, and guns are always clean. I know it's my imagination, but they seem to function better that way.
