The link to Ford's under "Refinishing" you have listed is correct but it links to a page on their site that you cannot navigate from. You may want to change the link to their home page: http://www.fordsguns.com/

I'm pleased to hear that you found it useful, RKOK.

If any of you have 1911 links to add, or if you find any dead links please post to this thread and let me know.

Training

http://www.firearmsacademy.com/

Firearms Academy of Seattle

This place is great if you live in WA and cant make it as far as Thunder Ranch.
They have some pretty big names come through here and teach. And the price isnt crazy, not very cheap, but better than I have seen.

1911 Forums.com is going down hill. Their Moderators are getting a little power crazy over there. I told a guy where he could buy a gun, and they deleted my post! Wow, I just tried to help a brother firearm owner out?
I think that I will just stay with discussions here. You guys are more user friendly.

Yeah I know what you are talking about. A couple of the mods there don't handle their power very judiciously. I watched it grow worse little by little over time and eventually just stopped visiting. There were a few other forums I visited regularly too, but now I'm back to my first and still best, imo, forum here on GT.

All links have been added. I'll try to go through the links now and then and see if they are still operable and edit as needed. I will try to post the main homepage of the website as that is the page whose address is least likely to change.

If you find a bad link please let me know and check if the basic root of the address is viable if you can.

THANKS!
