using the method of sir Eye Cutter
http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=288279
But only 3 thin directories is available so I also use old PC magazine (page is thicker than the directories).
Gun----------G27
Bullets------Winchester Supreme SXT
Talisman from twin pines
HEAT Dart Tip twin pines
Distance-----6 meters

any idea or comments on the result? why does Dart Tip make huge hole compare to the JHP?
Dart tip also penetrates deeper.

The fragments obviously tore up parts of the book in a spreading pattern soon after the hit, increasing the tear effect. With nothing to buffer the impact as the shot went at the loose edge of the test medium, the result was amplified.
Try hitting at the middle, between the retaining ropes/packing tape. I anticipate it wouldn't be as dramatic. Fragmentation bulets like Glaser and RBCD are notorious for being shallow penetrators but with wider trauma area, much like birdshot injury.
JHP's are designed to retain weight throughout the travel, using the intervening tissue to arrest its momentum, tearing them up along the way and increasing trauma and still maintain enough momentum to dig deeper still and injure vitals particularly those protected by bone. A penetration of 14-16" in ballistic gelatin is considered ideal for this purpose, to which the premium cartidges have been designed to do.

yun rin sa isip ko kasi I hit near the edge na. pero I could hear roaring sound when it hit the medium, the other 3 didnt hear anything except for the bang bang bang.
Next I try NGA bullets, Armscor FMJ and another Talisman and dart tips ;f
maybe I'll also try Teflon coated bullets

Maybe we can have the participation of others. Para mas masaya, mas maraming ammo, caliber and gun combination na matest at mas conclusive yung results and at the smae time hindi mabigat sa bulsa ng gumagawa ng tests. Maybe we can do a little funshoot on this one.

dart tip
marami dito sa amin 100h each.
kyalang penetration nya much deeper compare sa talisman at sa winchester. if sa tao baka over penetration na yan.
But I wanna try yung raptor nang twinpines
saan ba mas mabuti or more damage? yung na frafragment na bala or whole pa?

i think the fragmenting bullets will cause more damage due to the different wound chanels it makes. on the other hand, a solid bullet retains most of its energy which allows it to penetrate deeper and reach vital organs. what do BOG doctors think??
