Requesting Assistance: 'BoG Member Master List'

Hi BoGs,

I had thought there were 220 BoG members, but
a brute-force search, riddler's 'I am taking roll' thread,
and vega's 'BoG Numbers' thread have now yielded a total
of (updated 21Feb07) 421 members.

It's become a minor obsession of mine getting the list right.
I am certain the list is incomplete, so I'm asking BoG members
to check this list to see if their names are included.

You can start by scanning the first list, alphabetically organized,
of members' names to see if you're already included. The
alphabetical arrangement is meant to allow easier searching
for a given user-name. Click on the link below to see the list:

The second list is my objective, a list organized in
chronological order of 'joining' BoGs: not based on date of
GlockTalk registration, but rather the date of one's
first participation in BoG. Click on the link below to see:

I need the help of the earliest members in fixing the
sequence prior to 2004, since GT has culled/pruned many of
the earliest BoG threads, including the first, pre-BoG
72-page thread that jmy posted.

If only I could practice
I badly-sprained both ankles a few days ago.
My trigger and middle finger aren't in such good shape, either.
(using a mouse --never mind typing-- is a biaaaatch,
but the boredom is worse.)

I think I saw a the chrono list on a thread last week. I believe it was relatively accurate. I'm not sure, but Ppts might have the original list? It was an attachment of an email that he (or the first secretary) used to sent out to confirm that you're part of the BOG.

Anybody still has any of this email attachment ('twas Word doc)

I base the chrono list on a member's earliest post on BoG*
I really can't use registration dates as a basis ;1 :

some of us registered on GT long BEFORE BoGs existed, and then
participated in BoGs comparatively late (some BoGs registered
on GT as far back as 1999, yet their earliest recorded BoG posts
date to 2003, 2004, or even as late as 2005)

Again, I use earliest-post records in GT's archives... but
these generally only go back to mid 2003, with partial records
to early 2002. This is where I need your help:

If you recall posting on BoG earlier than the chrono
list indicates, please let me know.

I'd love to know who of you posted to jmy's 72-page, pre-BoG
"Filipino thread". Those posters really would be the
original crew, and if you're one of them, I'd appreciate a
heads-up here. I can't believe, say, EyeCutter --or you JuDGe,
or quite a few others came on board as late as the list suggests.

hi horge, can't pinpoint exactly the december date of 2002 when i first posted, it would most probably be a day after i registered and would surely be on the 72page of jmy's pre-bog filipino thread as directed to me by eyecutter.... ;f

Jason,
On the off chance that you are not merely grasping at laughs,
but laughing AT the existence of two lists...

The purpose of having an alphabetical list is to
provide ease for members in locating their names, or any
absences thereof.

The chronological list is my ultimate object.

Any info if we can get the archive of that thread? I can recall that I 'may' have posted on that thread. What I can remember was on the 1st BOG T-Shirt/Sport shirt thread. We were talking size counts... That was quite a long time ago.

figuring out the chrono order is something else.

like horge said, my last attempt was riddlers "taking a roll" thread. i can't find it anymore but last i recall we were only 152 THEN.

the attachment akula mentioned is not a complete listing, but a directory of BOGs.

As I mentioned earlier, pare, GT registration dates don't count.
It is the date of first participation in BoG that does.

Hi Mikey,
That's brilliant, how you archived the original thread!
I'm literally hobbled due to a bad fall (2nd storey, jobsite).
Can't leave the house, so that nixes a person-to-person handover
of the files. I'm stuck here for the next several days.

I suspect you saved each 'page' of the original thread
as a separate webfile. Maybe you can send them ,a few at a time,
as attachments, to my email addy (darkhorge "at" yahoo.com).

P.S.:I'm not sure I have OCD...
although the insane aren't often aware of their condition.
You and PMMA97 have it right in a way.
Deenoh might appreciate the fact as well:
I'm basically a researcher.

Findling and handling volumes of un/semi - organized data,
and then manhandling it into something useful (or at least
entertaining) is my thing.

I also have an affinity for for slaughtering and butchering
pigs, chickens and the occasional goat... but this may be
be unrelated.

Yes Horge, you're right. I saved each page as an individual html file. I'll email them to you as zip files, perhaps ten pages at a time. Mind you, these files are html only, without the avatars and other web images.

I got them, Mike. (Man, that was fast) Thanks heaps, but there's a problem.
Many are virus-infected, and Yahoo won't let me download them.
Weird. Like, how'd Yahoo allow you to attach the things in the first place?
Could be a packet error. I'll ty to hack my way around it later.

It seems we're both pack-rats when it comes to data/information.
jmy and Pio should give you a gorram medal for saving that
original thread.

It's indeed a great task, and WE SHOULD ALL COMMEND horge for this endeavor!

I now remember Pio sending me an email, asking me about my bio details...

Today, I spent my late morning and after lunch hours searching and digging into my hard disk for these details. I've gone thru a lot of changes on email front-ends including Eudora, Netscape 4, and finally web-based. I could not find anything related to that email. But, alas, I found a scanned image of MY DEPOSIT SLIP as payment for the 1st Bog shirt... 'Twas an RCBC deposit for VCG's account with P260.00 amout. Date was 03/06/2003. So I think BOG's organizational discussion was in the heating up between Nov 2002 to Feb 2003.

I don't know if BOG has an official FOUNDATION DATE, but it should either be when the posters first made up their mind to meet or when they physically met on a watering hole somewhere... I was never in flesh, only in spirit...
