Here's my new rifle I finished today. This is my first AR, so I wanted to keep it simple and pretty inexpensive. I want to learn the platform and make sure I like it first.
Just iron sights for now. Once I'm proficient with those, I'll get an optic. Just waiting on my sling and trying to relocate my Polytac LED. lol

Thanks.
It's a CMMG lower with keyhole upper. 16" carbine length. I added a Magpul MOE stock and pistol grip, MBUS, and XTM panels. The color is Foliage Green.

My recently finished build:
- Lower Receiver (Stripped): Mega Machine Shop, forged
- Upper Receiver (Stripped): Mega Machine Shop, forged
- Charging Handle: Mega Machine Shop
- Receiver Extension & Buffer: Magpul buffer tube, spring, and H buffer
- Trigger Guard: Magpul Enhanced
- End Plate: Noveske Quick Detatch End Plate
- Sling Mounts: Noveske Quick Detatch Swivel
- Sling: VTAC (5.11) 2 Point Padded
- Grip: Magpul Miad
- Lower Parts: RRA Single-stage
- Stock: Magpul CTR
- Upper Parts: BCM for each of... ejection port cover, forward assist, firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, cam pin, and gas key
- Barrel: Lothar Walther 16.1", SS, 1:8 polygonal, mid-length gas, .223 Wylde Chamber, M4 cuts, in Hard Blue from Superior Barrels
- Bolt Carrier Group: Bolt is matched set from the Lothar Walther barrel in Hard Blue. Bolt carrier is a Young Mfg M16 .
- HandGuard: Larue 11"
- Flash hider: Vortex
- Sights: Troy DOA rear, and Troy M4 front
- Optics: Trijicon Accupoint TR24G 1x-4x w/ green triangle reticle riding in a LaRue SPR mount
- Bipod: Harris SL with a LaRue QD bipod mount

FINALLY FINISHED!!
Got the finishing touches in the mail this mornin'. I might be pretty bias; but DAMN "Merle" looks good in foliage!!
Whatcha' think?
Now if I could only find a couple black P-Mag dust covers!! I guess it's not finished!! Damn it!!

Its a VTAC mount. I have the same one, just mounted up instead of down.
