This is the first rifle that I have painted and will probably be my last. It's a Colt LE6920 with a Surefire rail. It gets used quite a bit running around Pineland and the Brownell's Aluma Hyde II seems to be holding up very well. This rifle has caused and will continue to cause a lot of Pineland ODA's to have bad dreams.

How do you like it? Is it any lighter than their quad rail of the same length?

Did you go SBR or pinned and welded flash hider? Thinking about this very set up, just don't wanna spend another $200. How does it run? I have a 16" BCM Mid length and it is real nice.

I have seen a lot of AR pics lately. Why in the world do people take pictures with their rifles with the selector switch on fire? Is it cooler that way or what?

1) Yes

2) When the AR-15 is not loaded, ie hammer down, the selector cannot be moved to the safe position.

My rifle is rarely on safe. My finger being off the trigger is my safety. With all my pics, the rifle is unloaded anyway.

Still gotta get to the range and try it out, but it feels great so far (not to mention looks awesome)...still not sure about the AFG, have to try that out as well.

I'm "old school" so I'm rather partial to a standard verticle grip.
But, I'm giving the AGF a fair chance,....seems it will be good for "three-gun"
Not the best for CQB or entry.
