Seeing Rich's station in one of the other threads made me think about a thread.

Let's see your home stations.

Top to bottom, left to right:

Sure microphone, Yes! That IS a straight key, The ever present Cup-O-Coffee (Evista, a Lilly drug of course).
Icom IC-718, MFJ antenna match (replacd with a MFJ VersaTuner III).
Radio Shack 8-channel scanner (with local repeaters), KAM multimode, Motorola VHF (commercial frequencies) Radio Shack HTX-10 10-meter (SSB & FM), Back-up battery monitor (showing voltage). Below picture: 12V back-up battery and charger, 30 amp power supply.
This is being housed in a retired stereo cabinet. My desk with computer is to the left and I have interface between the PC and HF/VHF equipment.

Not pictured: Yaesu FT2600M 2-meter, Alinco DJ596T MK-II VHF/UHF handheld

You said you only have antennas for 20m. I need FN64 on 6m/2m. If you are in an apartment, I doubt you have the yagi antennas to even think about making this possible. I guess there is the potential of a great E layer opening, but no way we can sked that. I have worked Maine on 2m before, but it was a different grid. No big deal, the grid will come some day on those bands.

My Icom 718 and Icom 207H powered by the ever reliable Astron.
I use a G5RV for an HF antenna and a Diamond 50 for 2M amd 70CM.
The dust is due to having the station in storage for 6 months for remodeling. Now if I could remember where my keyer is. I need 6 meters also.

I really like my 718. Real solid rig. Did the MARS/CAP mod and have the CR338 high stability crystal. It will pump 100W just about anywhere.

Yes! The 718 is a wonderful radio. I have a 706 also but greatly prefer the 718. I'll probably use the 706 on 6M after I get an antenna. The thing I like about the 718 is it's ease of use. I don't need the manual to change settings. I have had the 706 longer and still need the manual for it.

I bought the HTX-10 after a several year absence from HF. I used a "fat" dipole and worked the world. I was impressed with the performance. I thought it would be a glorified CB but it seems to work quite well. I even used it for PSK31 as well as RTTY and SSTV. Here is the link to my 10-M log from a couple years back using the HTX-10. It is a great little rig for mobile use.
