I'd try the ACE before purchasing one and all the other hardware that goes along w/ it. I ran a couple of them and found cheek weld to be poor. Cheek weld is very important to repeatability which is important for quick accurate shooting.

You are right. If possible it would be a good idea to try this kind of setup before investing in it. I have the Ace folding stock and Krebs stock adapter and these parts are not cheap. However there are not a lot of options out there for the amd and this setup for me is way better than the original stock which had no cheek weld at all.

I just finished installing an ace stock on my bulgarian 74. It took just over an hour and required some extra grinding on the internal block and the receiver hex screw. Now all I need is my ultimak to come in and I'll be done!

MAK90 project phase 3 complete
I am by no means a gunsmith so I'm happy with how my MAK90 has turned out...would like to get an optic for it sometime in the future and maybe a light. Overall very happy--only would be happier if I could shoot it more often! :-)

I think this Hogue grip is one of the best ever made for AK...

Hogue grips are alright, I ran one for a while, but I don't like the finger grooves. Ronin's rendition of the Molot grip is my personal favorite grip.

Some friends of mine don't like the rubber feeling of it, otherwise, I'm fine with the finger grooves... I'm fine with it, but didn't have chance to try it out, on the range, it could be diferent...
I personally prefer the Ergo type grips, but Magpul's MOE also feels very comfortable...
This is the one that I tried on my AK, it's polymer, not rubber:
http://aa-ok.com/ak-tactical-pistol-...h-storage.html

but they sent a wrong color and had to return it, but I ordered the other model, the one with the interchangeable straps, I'm curious to see how it'll feel... unfortunately these people are awful slow with the orders, I'm waiting already 3 weeks for a grip and polymer stok...

If the original AK pistol grip wasn't too small for me I'd prefer it over most of the tacticool stuff on the market...

I did look at the Ronin/Molot grip... Looks like it has a very nice beavertail-like part, that I would prefer to have on the AK, I hope I'll have a chance to try it somewhere around...

Picked up a Zastava M92 Pap just before this whole gun scare kicked off . . . lucky to lock the price in before it got crazy. Day before I picked it up the prices soared, my FFL dealer offered to buy it back from me for $150 more than what I picked it up off of him the day before for; needless to say I respectfully declined. Now I just gotta figure out the plan for an SBR project . . .

Just finished up my stock refinish the other day and put it all back together. I also spent about three hours with the dremel and polish working over the trigger, rails, bolt and bolt carrier. It runs smooth as butter now and doesn't have the bolt hangup like it did before if riding the bolt forward. Not to mention I can work the action with my pinkie now.
Not bad for a basic ole wasr 10/63 that had the typical disgusting bare wood stock and black bolt carrier when I got it last year. Oh I also put on a romanian grip too to finish off the "red" look.

Is that pistol grip hand guard stock, or did you customize it to fit through the folding stock? It looks super cool, either way...
