Keesler AFB, Mississippi. (too hot; let's move up north!)
Minot AFB, North Dakota. (STILL too hot! We arrived in August, and promptly experienced 2 straight weeks of 100+ temps! All I want is summer temps in the 70s; let's try again...)
Eielson AFB, Alaska.
Did you know it gets over 80 degrees there in the summer, too? ;P
I gave up (retired). ;f

65: a brief visit to Lackland
66: a not so brief visit to Biloxi Miss.
66-68: Austin Texas with a Tac Squadron
68-69: Naha Okinawa with a communication Squadron
69- now: a civilian
I joined the AF because I loved airplanes. In four years I never set foot on a military aircraft. I did get to look at a lot of them.

How is good old Mountain Home? I started as a crew chief in the 391st back in '92. Then I switched to the 390th just before the F-15s arrived on base. I liked the C-Models better due to the lack of bomb racks to bash my head on.

Kevin--
Mountain Home has changed quit a bit since i got here in 97. the tankers and B1's are gone, the 16s are leaving, and soon according to the BRAC listing, Mountain Home will be an all F-15 base. 2 squadrons of F-15Es, 1 F-15C, and a squadron of jets belonging to Singapore. I'm not sure what they fly. Right now the 391st's aircraft are a little better than the 390th maintenance wise. So the 391st is the place to be. i agree with you, i have hade plenty of eagle bites to my head and all the spots that really hurt. i guess we'll see if i like C models when i get to Kadena. I'm a non-vol so i only have to go for three years. NO GUNS FOR THREE YEARS! CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! I like it enough to try and come back here as a follow on.

As I'm sure you know, Chicksands was one of the best assignments in the AF!

I posted elsewhere, but I've been assigned to:
USAF:
McConnell AFB, KS (AFROTC Field Training)
Ft. Benning, GA (US Army Airborne School)
Goodfellow AFB, TX (Intel Officer's School)
Dover AFB, DE
ANG:
Francis S. Gabreski Airport, NY (NYANG)
AFRES:
MacDill AFB, FL
Like most of you, I've been to a bunch of places on TDY; but my overseas assignments included a ton of ONW deployments, and one stint in OIF.

F-15B & C Crew Chief
1995- Lackland
95-96- Sheppard (What a dump)
96-96- Tyndall (HOT training)
96-98- RAF Lakenheath (I was in the fighter squadron (C Models), not B-15s (F-15E).
98-99- Edwards AFB (My jet was an orange and white B model)
This was honestly the most exciting time in my life. While I don't miss bathing in hydro fluid, the memories will remain with me forever.
