I carry a 20 (and shoot a 20 mod) but my favorite Glock is not up there! 
What's wrong with the 18 or 18C???

The G19 obviously ran away with this, but the 19 is really just an understudy to the G23. They are exactly the same in terms of size and loaded weight is not significantly different. The G19 gains two rounds in the magazine and gives up a significant degree of power. I think it really comes down to one's personal understanding and interpretation of the differences in the two cartridges. Some say the recoil difference is significant but if one is an able-bodied and a shooter I honestly believe recoil is probably not a big deal.
Of the two I would pick the G23 for self-defense. Would I carry the G19? Yes. I own both pistols. I own the G19 mainly because I love the platform and because 9mm is a little cheaper with which to practice, but I still carry the G23 rather than the G19.
Why do you prefer the 19, those who chose it?

My favorite is the Glock 23. I took a G22, G27, and G21sf to come to this conclusion. The down side, Right about $2,000 spent. The up side, four really nice pistols and a heck alot of fun at the range. One can never own too many guns. Especially if they are Glocks.

I only have 3 Glock's a 20, 22, and a 27. Out of the 3 the 20 is my favorite but my 27 is what I carry. Getting ready to add a 19, 23 and a 29 not in that order but will have them all in due time.

I think I originally voted for the G19, BUT After shooting almost 500rds through my G29, the G29 has become my favorite. 
G19/23 behind it.
