10 pound packages/bags of big ol' 'thigh-leg' quarters are often .39 cents a pound...

Coincidentally they're my favorite part...

Marinated (along with potato wedges, onion quarters and whole garlic cloves) for a few hours in Olive oil,
S&P, chopped garlic, Rosemary, and Italian Parsley---
then baked till brown @ 350...
Hour for the chicken and taters, 45 minutes for the garlic cloves...

Squeeze out the sweet soft garlic onto the bites...

Feastage!

I bought whole chickens at Albertson's last week for .49 per pound. Stores here are selling the 10# bag of leg quarters for $2.99 this week. Chicken is by far the cheapest animal protein at the moment.
