London cabbies

Just got back from London and thought I'd pass this along.

At the last minute, I decided not to take my HT there. (I have a British license, but, since USA is now signatory to CEPT protocol, we can operate there with our US licenses as long as we carry the translating documents from the FCC website and follow British amateur rules.)

Wouldn't you know it, I hop into a taxi at Victoria Station, and the driver turns out to be G4HTE!

If any of you go, he tells me four or five of the cabbies are hams and hang out on the local 70cm repeater. The frequencies and offsets are a bit different, so look them up before you go.

I won't be leaving my HT at home next year, that's for sure!
