I am guilty of liking some 'chick flicks'. I guess my favorites in that category would be Sliding Doors and Thelma and Louise (both of which are just awesome movies).

I've never seen ANY Of the ones you guys have listed! we recently watched "Enemy at the Gates" and "serenity" if that counts?

Actually, last time VR was out of town, I watched Vanity Fair w/ Reese Witherspoon, which could probably be called a chick flick, and i LOVED IT!

Wow...you haven't seen Thelma and Louise? Its an awesome movie....forget the 'chick flick' stuff...its a great movie on its own two feet. I believe it was the movie that launched Brad Pitt's career if I'm not mistaken.

Two films that might fall into the 'edgy chick flick' genre are Enough and GI Jane. Both of which are favorites of mine (and I own them). Enough is a great movie, and even J-lo managed not to mess it up, imho.

My movie collection is dominated by action, horror, and asian action films from Hong Kong and Japan...but I just love movies in general.

Chris.

Sorry Pontificator, I must have totally misjudged you. Somehow I never imagined you were so sensitive and in touch with your feminine side.

I've also seen...

...don't tell anyone...

..."A walk on the moon". (Diane Lane, Viggo Mortensen)

I'm still up in the air on this one. Interesting "slice of life" movie but I really didn't much care for how the infidelity issue was handled. Supposedly Lane's character paid a price for her dalliance. What the cost was...was not fully explained.

Other "chick flicks" I've enjoyed:

Fried Green Tomatoes
Boys On The Side
Under the Tuscan Sun
A Walk in the Clouds.

I'm ready to turn in my man card NOT.

Only chick flick I have watched was Grand Prix with James Garner.

I cried.

Alot of REALLY nice old Formula 1 cars were destroyed in the movie.

And there were some hot chicks as well.

S -

I'm not a movie goer/watcher, but you gotta watch A Walk in the Clouds. Forbidden romance along with a father that just won't accept it.....nice story.
