When this bike came out in the late 1970's it was a sensation. My local dealer got one, and believe it or not he let almost anyone take it for a test ride. Of course I lined up for my turn. I was shocked at its power, and the width of the engine. It just seemed like too much bike for any mortal. It hummed up to 100 mph without even trying.
He couldn't sell it, and when he went out of business the next year it was still sitting on the showroom floor. It was sold at his bankruptcy sale along with several Moto Guzzi's.

I still see a couple of those monstrous beasts showing up in the Malibu canyons now and then.
