What's up with the SEARCH function?
I was away for a week so if this is old news forgive me...
When I try to do a search, I'm only finding posts since July 21.
Anyone else notice this or know what's up?
BF
Note to Mods: I know this is General Glocking but I'm searching for GG posts.

thanks Stangy
Well if I search for all post by a user, I seem to get them. But if I put search words in that field I'm only getting very recent posts or none.
I posted tagged for future reference in 15-20 helpful threads so I could find them quickly. It's always worked before, but now I can only find the one I tagged last night.
So it's not working for me ... ?

Not sure why it's not working, but here's a suggestion. Instead of typing in a phrase that you want to search for, simply click "Subscribe to Thread" at the bottom of the page. Then when you want to see all of your subscribed threads, just click into your User Control Panel, and they'll all be there.

Thanks for trying to help. I know about that feature and I have subscribed to threads - too many in fact.
When I search I just list a couple of search words. I don't think the GT search engine works with strings or phrases.
For example -- Search for words: future reference
That usually works like a champ.
I've found this a really fast way of relocating a key thread that I've tagged. Usually these are threads with a good explanation of a common Glock question, good pics by Butch, that sort of thing.

update
Update - I reported the problem with the keyword search last night. A mod responded that they had noticed it too and would tell Eric.
If you search by keyword you will only get very recent posts, mostly since July 21.

I had notice the same thing the other day searching for something in The 10 Ring. I don't remember what day it was, but the first time I noticed it, it was only showing posts from a day or two before.

I don't know why users are only able to search a couple of days back.
But, you can try going to google and typing the search words space site:glocktalk.com
For example:
search site:glocktalk.com
That will give you the word "search" on all of glocktalk. I don't know how recent those searches are, but it may help.

Eric is aware of the problem. I'm not sure when he's going to be able to get to the problem, but he'll get to it.
