Transfering music from cassette tape?

Here is the deal. I have some audio recordings that I want to add to a website that I am working on, but the audio files are on a cassette tape. I was told that I can just plug the cassette tape into the "audio in" jack on my computer, but I would need a certain program to convert the analog sound to digital sound.

I was wondering if this information is correct, and if so, what is a good program for recording the audio to my hard drive? Are there any good free programs out there?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, thanks for the link! That program seems really cool, and I really like that it is FREE. I will have to try it out this week.

AOD,
Thanks for the input, but I am cheap, and I would rather go with something that is free even if it means more work. That would be a nice addition though.

Audacity is the best sound editor i've worked with(free and paid). I use it to make mp3 ringtones and other general conversions.
