Stopped 4 times this week by the JBTs..

Looks like my driver side headlight is pointing towards incoming traffic and the cops think I don't want to dim my headlights...

I've been tying to do it myself but it's a pain in the rear. May have to take it to the stealership...

Fortunately, they didn't take my guns or ask about my hawt gf.

Jerks. Did they have hats on? They probably didn't even make an appointment.

It may be wrong, but when I see a headlight badly misaligned, my first thought is,"you changed the bulb yourself, huh."

Having the light too high is usually a violation, regardless of dimming.

Yea, it's high, too. That's an easier fix. Have to take the battery out to adjust it.

There's no Constitutional basis for them to detain you; Did you refuse to create joinder with them?

To stop you like that while you were locomoting they should have had probably cause or excellent circuspants.

I just drive with no headlights on, it solves the issue.

Sent by psychic paper from the TARDIS.

It's funny how we can meet folks and someone stands out. The last cop that stopped me was super nice. We talked about LE careers and such. He had been a cop for 30 years.

However, he had the eyes of a warrior. They told me that if I &)(^& with him, I'd be dead. Some cops have that look...

I know exactly what you mean, and you are correct. Over the years I worked with tons of guys who were skilled with firearms, or tactics, or great physical conditioning. But there was a small handful that had PRESENCE.

No matter the circumstances or the odds, when one of those guys was on scene, you knew it was all good.
And fix your light already

Last night, I had to respond to the ER to interview a stabbing victim. When I got there, the ER doc (along with about 5 new MDs) was cleaning out his wound (he was using some suctioning gizmo) and the victim was crying out in pain. The ER doc said something like, "normally this shouldn't hurt at all." After they were done, I asked the victim if he learned his lesson to never, ever go to the ER in June and July, when the new MDs are starting!

I got stopped once awhile back. I had no idea why since I was actually doing the speed limit (it was raining and dark). He said I had only one working headlight. I said, "Which one?" He said "Your side," and reached back and tapped it.. and it came back on. I thought he must be channeling the Fonz. Made me laugh. He was too young to get the reference. I must be older than I thought.

Patchman, how right you are.
Been a radiologist for over 30 years, and have told family and friends to stay away in July. I had night duty July 3-6 this year. It was wonderful.

Yea, I just watch cop movies on the Internet and eat some kung pow at Chinese restaurants once a week. That should cover all the bases.
