Okay, will keep an eye out for this plate number.

Do you have any photos of the vehicle itself, or does it have any distinguishing marks/accessories?

What action has he done so far?

If you want, I could meet with your cousin and gather the info directly from him. I'll see what I can do to help him out if he wants it.

That's a nice-looking ride your cousin has. I hope he is able to recover it.

Are my eyes deceiving me, or is the rear portion longer than the usual 1970s Land Cruisers that are common in the Philippines?

productionguy,

Your cousin's vehicle should be easier to pick out on the road because of its uniqueness.

Anyway, you could also try posting the photo on automotive forums like tsikot.com, 4x4ph, or autoindustriya.com so more eyes will be helping in your search. Good luck.

Productionguy,

That Land Cruiser is a classic! My former boss here in Canada has one. It has a forward-facing rear seat, instead of the usual two side-facing seats. A Land Cruiser collector here is asking for CDN$25,000 for his Land Cruiser as-is (with minor rust and dents). He still won't sell it.

Hope it gets recovered. It's quite easy to spot it. There's only a few of those that came out. My former boss told me that there are only two known units that were imported in the whole of North America. The other was sold to a collector in the US.

Stolen 4x4's

Sir maybe you could have some BOG's from Davao keep an eye out for it.

My uncle had his Mitubushi Pajero Field Master stolen from P'que 2 years ago, and it was recovered in Gen. Santos City of all places! The serial numbers were crudely tampered (1's became 4's) so he was able to recover it.

Maybe they sent your cousin's ride there.

The problem is, if that particular model is such a classic as isuzu says, then there is a chance it could be smuggled out of the country for sale to an unsuspecting foreign collector. I just hope this is not the case.

Will continue to keep an eye out for it here in the north.
