I am looking for information on tactical rifle. Something like IDPA or IPSC but for ar-15 type rifles. Does such a think exsist? More importantly where do they happen in GA?

They have one this weekend at South River, not just rifle only but pistol and shotgun also. I think you'll find most "tactical" rifle matches will include pistol and shotgun also.

Riverbend also puts on a similar match nearly every month (1st Saturday, but not in March). Just check each website for details, rules, equipment, etc.

The closest I can think of, sticktly for rifle, is NRA High Power competition. Rifle at 100, 300 and, 600 yards. I know of nothing similar to IDPA for rifle.
