Can't believe the Cat is gone from the fleet.

There was a program on the History Channel about the design and history, service life of the Tomcat - It STILL kicks ass on almost anything out there. The F/18 has nothing on it...

They said what killed the Tomcat was the manintenance hours per flight hours

We were sad when the F-4's went away. Even worse for the Tomcats. Hell of a bird.

Then I went to a Battleship.

Oh baby, shoot those 16" guns.

Nothing makes an impression more than a 2 thousand pound high explosive, armor piercing 16 inch shell. I still think we need one on active duty .. just in case.

Incredible technology on those ships

I've been retired for about 10 years and would go back in a minute if they recalled a battleship.

I watched that on the History Chanel ... GREAT ceremoney

If you go to Youtube.com there are quite a few clips of F14's.
Some professionally done and the home movie type. There are a couple great ones of really low, super sonic fly-bys

~ I had no idea that 201 was dis-establishing.
Wish I could go - but my schedule is full. I had alot
of people I knew that went over there when 202 dis-established.
