Mesquite rodeo show.
I was at this show today and it was nice. Lots of eye candy and some very good deals! Better than the last Market Hall show.

Big Town Gunshow
I think the Mesquite show is always better than Market Hall. Market Hall has gotten too big. I have always found better buys at Mesquite.

I went today as well. I agree, it did seem like there were some pretty good deals at the show. Tons of Mosin 91/30's in decent shape. I've been seeing them at Military Gun Supply for around $100. All the Mosin's I saw today were $120+. There was 1 unissued w/ matching numbers, looked very high grade for $149. I couldn't make up my mind to spend a little less for a project gun or spend more and get a very desirable rifle....So I just bought a bunch of ammo.
500rds of .40 (reloads) $75
16rds of .243 Monarch $5-don't ask
Ak-47 Waffle Mag 30 rd-$17
Cold Steel Med. Voyager w/ Tanto and Serr.-$42
25rds WInchester Ranger 00 buck Low Recoil-$15

Did o.k. This was the first show in months were it seemed like the ammo wasn't MORE than store bought. Schramm's looked like they had some great prices on CPO Sigs. Saw somebody w/ a sixgun for sale @ $129,500.00!!! ALMOST as much as our house!! Beautiful gun.

If that show was better than Market Hall, guess there's no reason to go to the next one at Market Hall.
It was a decent show, heckuva lot better than Big Town (does anyone go there anymore), but if that's the best DFW has anymore, well, that's too bad.
Granted there were a few guys selling stuff that I hadn't seen in a while, but it seemed to me like the show was missing about 40% of the stock and stuff that I used to see.
Left town for a few years, seems like the area has gone downhill in gun-related things while I was gone.
On the bright side, I joined the TSRA and got a nifty hat and pin! 
I will go to it again, maybe I just didn't have enough of a budget this time.

I was excited that it was the first show in a while where deals could be had on things other than junk......Market hall had ALOT of crap the last few shows, and not much gold.

I have found it is hard to beat them for new gun prices. I wonder if they are in bed with Bachman's now? I saw that Jeff's (old?) girlfriend and one of his other employees was working at the Bachman booth.
I have bought several new guns from Schramm's. But mostly I buy used stuff....

This sounds like a good show. Is there a schedule of dates online or does anyone know when the next show will be held?

It looks like I've missed the show for this year. Feb. 3&4 were the only dates listed for '07.
