Gun safe dealers in Houston area

Any recommendations for gun safe dealers in the Houston area? I am looking for the total package: sales & delivery.

I've only looked at Gander Mountain, Academy, and Carter's Country so far. They had some good ones but delivery options seemed steep.

I'm not looking for run-of-the-mill Sentry or entry-level safes.

I need something that holds between 20-40 rifles as well as has some shelf space for other goodies. It should be fireproof for at minimum 1200 degrees for 45 minutes. Reputable brand.

Merci d'avance.

Lone Star Gun Safes, 1020 FM 1960 West, Suite 4 - 281-866-8888. There are a few more in the area that will deliver, research is key. Good luck.

When I lived in Beaumont a friend of mine and the business that I worked for bought a Fort Knox from the guy listed below. I can't remember his name but he shows up and the bigger guns shows once in a while. He is able to deliver anything you want. He is not the cheapest guy around, but if you have cash I bet he will deal some. Do your research before you go see him. He is right on I-10.

There is one guy that moves safes that lives on the northeast side of town but I cannot remember his name. I would talk to the guys at Gander up that way and they might be able to help you. I sold my safe in BMT before I moved and the guy who bought used him. It was a Liberty 35 gun safe that weighed close to 1,000 lbs and he moved it by himself. it helps to have the correct equipment. Sorry I didn't get his name.

I shopped around the Northwest/Northeast area and the best price/quality I could find were the Liberty safes at Gander Mountain on I-45. I ended up getting one for a little more than my budget, since they were offering $200 gift cards for purchases over $1000 in Liberty safes.

Since I don't have a trailer down here, I had to go for the $150 delivery charge.

How much safe did you get for the money?

I have a Sam's Club Winchester safe but I'd like to get a bigger brother for it.

22 x 36 x 20 for $799. I went with it more for the quality than anything else. The other ones I looked at around town had cheap shelving, cheap carpet, shoddy welding work inside.
